0118+ · twelve fictional characters
Twelve AI girlfriends, yours to browse
Twelve on the roster — every profile opens free. The app behind them holds 250+ characters.
Most sites hand you one companion and a settings panel. This one opens as a board: twelve written personalities, each with her own city, pace and temperament, all free to read before you type a word. Pick whoever sounds like someone you would actually talk to.
Every character here is written fiction. No real person is depicted.

Browse the roster04What the board does
Six things a roster does that a settings panel cannot
All six exist to make one decision easier: which of them you open first.
A board, not a builder
You are not filling in a form to invent someone. Twelve finished characters are already on the page, and choosing is the whole first step.
Filter by mood, not by looks
The tabs sort by what a character is like to talk to — newest, live right now, up for roleplay — because temperament is what a conversation runs on.
Profiles that say something
City, age, disposition and a line in her own voice. Enough to tell two characters apart before you have invested an evening in either.
Switch without starting over
Talking to one does not close the others. Go back to the board, open somebody else, and the first thread is still where you left it.
Opens in the browser
Android, iPhone, laptop, same page. Nothing lands in your app drawer and nothing shows up in a purchase history.
No profile of you anywhere
You browse them; nobody browses you. No contacts imported, no photo of you on a grid, no social graph of any kind.
05Counted, not claimed
06How it works
Three steps from opening the board to a running conversation
Read the board
Twelve profiles load straight away behind one age confirmation. No sign-up wall between you and the faces, and no card asked for.
Narrow it down
Filter to who is live, who is new, or who is up for roleplay. Or pick on the strength of one line she wrote about herself.
Open her, keep the rest
The thread starts on the spot and carries over next visit. The other eleven stay on the board for whenever you want a different pace.
07In depth
Why a roster of AI girlfriends beats configuring one
The single-companion products all make the same bet: that you know what you want before you have talked to anybody. Most people do not.
Open almost any competitor and the first screen is a form. Hair, body, voice, personality preset — you are asked to specify a person from nothing, and whatever you invent is what you are stuck with. Browsing AI girlfriends as a set inverts that. Twelve finished characters are already written, each with a city, an age, a disposition and a line in her own voice, and the first thing you do is compare rather than construct.
That difference shows up two evenings later. A character you configured has no surprises in her, because everything about her came out of your own head; a character somebody else wrote does, and that is most of what makes a conversation worth reopening. It is also why the filters here sort by temperament rather than appearance — nobody has ever enjoyed a chat more because of a hair colour, and the pool of portraits is shared and illustrative anyway.
The trade-off is honest and worth stating: a roster gives you less control over the details. If you want someone built precisely to a specification, a builder does that better. What a board gives you instead is the thing builders cannot — the chance to be talked into somebody you would not have thought to invent.
What works well
- Twelve full profiles readable before you type anything
- Filters sort by disposition, not by looks
- Threads run in parallel — switching costs you nothing
- Free to browse and to start, with no card asked for
- Runs in the browser on any phone or laptop
- Nothing about you is public, imported or indexed
Worth knowing first
- Less fine control than a build-your-own companion
- Every character is fictional, not a real person
- Portraits are illustrative and come from a shared pool
- The longer-running features sit behind a paid tier
- Strictly 18+, behind an age confirmation
- Twelve written characters, free to read end to end
- Four ways to narrow the board down
- No install, no card, no profile of you
- Fiction and adults only, both stated up front
08Our verdict
What we scored the app behind these links, and how
Our own score, from our own use. Four criteria, each one printed with the note that produced it.
Breadth of the roster
4.8/5Dozens of written characters, filterable, and the profiles carry enough detail to choose between rather than a name and a portrait.
How fast a first reply lands
4.6/5Opening a profile put a reply on screen in a couple of seconds on every attempt, on a phone and on a laptop.
Memory across sessions
4.3/5Names and running threads came back a day later without prompting. Older details further back were patchier.
What free actually gets you
3.9/5Browsing and the first conversations cost nothing. The longer-running features sit behind a paid tier, and the wall arrives sooner than the marketing implies.
Four criteria, each scored out of five over two weeks of our own use, then averaged. We paid for the upgrade ourselves to see what sits behind it.
